My husband and I spent last weekend in Townsville and had the pleasure of dining at the Masala on Palmer Street on Saturday night. We chose the Banquet for two which gave us four beautiful entrees - Onion Bhaji, Samosa, Chicken Tikka and a kebab with dipping sauces. Our main course also had four different dishes - Lamb Rogan Josh, Beef Curry, Mixed vegetables, Butter Chicken and beautiful garlic naan bread. The whole experience was worthy of any praise. The service was excellent, but unobtrusive and we genuinely feel we had excellent value for money. We were even asked if we wanted to substitute any of the dishes if we didn't like them. The bill was well under a $100 for two including drinks. Will we return to this restaurant next time we are in Townsville - You bet we will.
